When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent,
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent,
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out,
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent,
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
Martin Niemöler

Tava para pôr isto: "When good men do nothing
The statement that "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" is often attributed to Burke. Burke never said this but, in 1770, he wrote in Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents that "when bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."[150][151]" que absurdo. vou apenas associar-me ao :) do Tiago Costa.
